Purpose Statement
This article explains how the Unassigned Meds pouch works within a Med Kit. The Unassigned Meds pouch helps identify medications that have been received or transferred into a kit but are not currently assigned to a configured pouch.
Background Information
The Unassigned Meds pouch is a default pouch within each Med Kit. This pouch contains medications that are physically or operationally associated with the kit but have not been assigned to a specific pouch in the kit configuration.
This helps users quickly identify medications that may need to be reviewed, assigned, reordered, or incorporated into the kit’s pouch structure.
Required Permissions
Users must have appropriate permissions within the Medications module to manage Med Kits and pouches.
Typical permissions may include:
- Medications Module Access
- Med Kit Management permissions
- Pouch configuration permissions

Permission availability may vary based on agency configuration.
