Purpose Statement
The Progress area within Training Plans allows users to monitor completion status for assigned members throughout a training plan cycle. This view helps administrators quickly assess overall plan performance, review credits applied toward requirements, and drill into individual member progress for more detailed completion history.
Background Information
The Progress area is located within the Training Module under Training Plans. It is designed to give plan administrators visibility into both group-wide and individual completion data without needing to review each assigned member separately.
This area is useful for:
- Monitoring progress toward training requirements
- Reviewing completed credit hours across the assigned member group
- Identifying which members are on track, behind, or have not started
- Viewing detailed class completion history by requirement
Users should note that member progress cannot be viewed while actively editing a Training Plan. To access progress, the plan must be opened in view mode.
Required Permissions
Users should have access to the Training Module and be able to edit and create Training Plans

Review overall plan progress at the top of the Progress area
At the top of the page, review:- Progress through the Training Plan cycle
This section displays overall completion across the full assigned member group.
- Review requirement credit totals
Use this section to compare completed credits against required totals. For example, a requirement may show that 7.5 hours of the required 16.0 hours have been completed across all assigned members.
- Review individual member progress at the bottom of the page
In the member progress section, administrators can view each member’s:- Name
- Rank
- Qualifiers
- Station
- Overall progress percentage
- Number of areas completed
- Current status
- Refresh progress if needed
Select the Refresh button to recalculate progress while working in the Progress area. This is especially helpful if members are completing classes during the same time you are reviewing the plan. - View detailed progress for a specific member
Select the View icon next to a member to open a detailed progress modal.
- Review the member detail modal
The modal displays:- Overall progress percentage
- Number of areas completed
- Areas not started
- View class completion history by requirement
Within each requirement area, select the View icon to see class completion history tied to that requirement. - Review exceeded-hour completions when applicable
If a member has completed more hours than required, those classes will still appear in the completion history so administrators have a complete record of activity.
Best Practices
- Open Training Plans in view mode when reviewing progress data.
- Use the Refresh button when active class completions may affect current totals.
- Review both the group summary and individual member details to get a complete understanding of plan progress.
- Check requirement-level history when a member’s totals seem higher than expected.
- Use member progress details to identify areas that have not been started and follow up as needed.
