This article explains how to assign members to a published Training Plan in the First Due Training Module. Adding members to a Training Plan allows agencies to formalize participation, manage training assignments, and define effective start and end dates for each assigned member.

The Members area inside a published Training Plan is used to assign personnel to that plan. This supports structured training management by ensuring the correct members are tied to the appropriate plan.
Before beginning, make sure the Training Plan has already been created and published.
Required Permissions
Users will need access to the Training Module and the associated permissions surrounding editing a Training Plan.

Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to the Training module and then to Training Plans.
- Edit the appropriate published Training Plan.
- Navigate to the Members area within the Training Plan.
- Select +Assign Members.
- In the modal that opens, review the list of available members.
- Use the available filters as needed to narrow the list by:
- Rank
- Qualifiers
- Stations
- Select the appropriate members you want to assign to the Training Plan.
- Press Save in the modal to add the selected members to the assigned member list.
- After members have been added, update member details as needed:
- Select the edit icon to adjust the Effective Start Date or Effective End Date
- Select the trash can icon to remove a member from the Training Plan
- Select Save at the top of the page when finished.

Why can’t I add members to the Training Plan?

Check the available filters in the member modal. A filter for rank, qualifiers, or station may be limiting the visible results.
How do I update a member’s training assignment dates?
From the assigned member list, select the edit icon next to the member and adjust the effective start or end date.
How do I remove someone from the Training Plan?
Select the trash can icon next to the assigned member, then save your changes.
Do I need to save twice?
Yes. First save the selection in the assignment modal, then select Save at the top of the Training Plan page to finalize the change.
