Purpose Statement
This article explains how administrators and end users access and use Learning Management System (LMS) content within the First Due Training Module. LMS integration allows agencies to assign, track, and complete e-learning content while maintaining accurate training records and compliance reporting.
Background Information
First Due’s LMS functionality is available to agencies licensed for the Advanced Training Module and configured with an approved LMS provider. LMS content is imported during implementation and managed through Objectives, then assigned to users through standard Training Class workflows.
LMS-based training is designed to be self-complete, allowing end users to independently complete assigned content directly from their Training Dashboard.
Prerequisites:
Advanced Training Module enabled
LMS provider selected and configured
LMS content imported during implementation

Best Practices
Preview LMS objectives before assigning to ensure correct content.
Add applicable standards to LMS objectives to support compliance reporting.
Use Use Course rather than Assign Course for self-complete LMS workflows.
Clearly communicate expectations to users for self-complete deadlines.
Periodically review LMS objectives to ensure standards remain accurate.
