Purpose Statement
The External Resources feature in Investigation Setup allows agencies to create and manage quick-access links to outside websites and reference materials used during Fire Investigations. This helps investigators open important resources directly from an Investigation record without leaving the workflow.
Background Information
External Resources are configured in Investigation Setup and can include links to websites, reference tools, regulatory sources, or other external systems. Once added, these resources become available from the Resources button within an Investigation, where users can open the selected link in a new tab.
Administrators can:
- Add new external resources
- Edit existing resources
- Delete single or multiple resources
- Reorder how resources appear in the list
This setup helps standardize access to commonly used investigative references.
Required Permissions
