Purpose Statement
This article explains how to add notes to assignments on the Shift Board. Assignment notes allow departments to communicate important details, instructions, or reminders directly within the scheduling view to improve operational clarity and reduce miscommunication.
Background Information
Assignment notes are visible directly beneath the assignment name on the Shift Board. They are commonly used to provide operational guidance such as apparatus instructions, staffing expectations, training reminders, or temporary procedural changes.
Notes support basic text formatting and have a 200-character limit (including spaces and punctuation). This ensures concise, actionable communication without cluttering the board.
