Purpose Statement
To explain how to add individuals to the Unassigned Persons section on the Shift Board.
Unassigned Persons are individuals associated with a specific rotation but not tied to a fixed assignment. These users can be manually placed into open positions as operational needs change, similar to a Float Company.
Background Information

Common use cases include:

- Members awaiting daily assignment
- Personnel covering vacancies as needed
- Staffing adjustments due to training, details, or temporary reassignments
Once added, these individuals can be dragged and dropped into available positions directly from the Shift Board interface.

The following permissions are typically required to add individuals to Unassigned Persons:
- Scheduling - Access Scheduling
- Scheduling - Access Shift Board
