The Notes feature within the Shift Board provides a visual and centralized way to display information relevant to a specific date or shift. Notes can be color-coded and formatted for clarity, making them useful for highlighting critical updates, training reminders, inspections, or station-level announcements.
Notes are accessible from the Events section within the Shift Board and can be edited or deleted as operational needs change.
Required Permissions
Users must have the following permissions:
- Scheduling – Access Shift Board
- Scheduling – Edit notes section of the shift board
- Scheduling – View activies/events on shift board

Step-by-Step Guide
Access the Shift Board
- Click Scheduling
- Select Shift Board
Open the Events Panel
- Click Events within the Shift Board view

Add a New Note
- Click the plus (+) icon to create a new note

Customize the Note Appearance
- Select a color from the available options to visually categorize the note
- Adjust the text style as needed for emphasis or clarity


Expand the Note (Optional)
- Click the expand icon to open the note in a larger view
- In expanded view, you retain all formatting and editing capabilities

Save the Note
- After entering your text, click the save icon in the upper-right corner
- The note will now display on the Shift Board

Edit or Delete an Existing Note
- Click the pencil icon to edit an existing note
- Click the trashcan icon to delete a note

- Use consistent color conventions (e.g., red for urgent items, blue for informational notices).
- Keep notes concise and operationally relevant.
- Remove outdated notes to avoid confusion.
