Feature Enhancements
What: Depreciation of Web Responder V1.
Why: With the debut of Web Responder V2 bringing the web side of Responder to be inline with the functionality of the Mobile or App Responder, Responder V1 is no longer needed.
How: When you access the Responder View from the Response Module, Responder V2 will automatically open and there will no longer be the option to switch to legacy responder.
Use Case: Use as you would typically use the Responder Module, whether web or mobile.
Why: Before the advent of Responder V2, there was no routing option for those utilizing the Web Responder. With V2, routing opened a new window of the Google Maps website. With this enhancement, the Calculate Route view mimics the mobile responder view within the First Due web responder with the route on the map and text directions on the sidebar.
How: The user simply selects Calculate Route from the bottom of the incident and that brings up the "snapshot route" and text directions from Google Maps, and the various benefits of First Due like hydrants, preplan information, unit tracking and such.
Use Case: After being dispatched on an incident, the user selects "Calculate Route" and sees both the map line and text directions.
