In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module.

New Features


  1. What: For Android, the ability to associate an alert ringtone with all dispatches or different ringtones based on the dispatch incident group. This brings this functionality to both mobile platforms now.
  1. Why: Users have long wanted to be able to differentiate the alert tone based on the incident type.  This new feature allows just that!
  1. How: Users access "Menu > App Settings > Alert Ringtone" and:
1. If the user wishes to have the same alert ringtone for all dispatches, they can activate the "Apply to all" toggle and select the ringtone as before by selecting that row.

2. If the user wishes to have different alert ringtones based on the different Dispatch Incident Groups, ensure that the "Apply to all" toggle is deselected and select the ringtone as before, by selecting the row of the appropriate dispatch incident group.

  1. What: Preplan levels now display in the incident information page for Android. This brings this functionality to both mobile platforms now.
  1. Why: Users were frustrated at the number of steps it took to reach the preplan levels.
  1. How: Users simply select the level from within the dispatch information                                                                                                                                               



  1. Once the user selects a level other than Ground, the user will notice:
    1. A "Stairstep Icon" populate on the upper right of the map. Selecting that icon reveals:
    2. Single touch back to the Ground level
    3. The name of the current layer viewing and the address. By selecting, the user can single touch center the screen back on the address, if the user has moved the map.



  1. What: Responder Status in Units Tab.  This brings this functionality to both mobile platforms now.
  1. Why: For clients that status inside the incident within First Due, users wanted the ability to see that status within the Units Tab.
  1. How: By selecting the Units Tab at the bottom of the screen, users can now see the color-coded responder status of all units.



Feature Enhancements


  1. What: Building Story Text-to-Speech Integration for Android.
  1. Why: This functionality brings the Android experience in line with the iOS experience.
  1. How: When a user is in the web-view preplan Dashboard, they will see the "play" triangle under the building story.  By selecting that icon, the building story will be spoken.





  1. What: Hydrant Map integration.
  1. Why: This brings the ability to manage hydrants directly from the map view native to the app. This brings this functionality to both mobile platforms now.
  1. How: Users simply go: Menu > Hydrants > Hydrants Map




  1. What: Responder Status in Unit Sheet.  This brings this functionality to both mobile platforms now.
  1. Why: For clients that status inside the incident within First Due, users wanted the ability to see that status within the Unit Sheet.
  1. How: By selecting a unit on the map, a color-coded responder status is now displayed in the Unit Sheet.




Fixes


NotesNOTE: All fixes for April are Android only.

  1. There was a bug where chat messages were duplicated causing unnecessary notifications. This has been fixed.
  1. Users noticed that the zoom controls in the ePCR module were overlapping other elements on the screen.  This has been fixed.
