Mobile App (iOS) Release 4.8.0 

Multiple Enhancements
  1. Separate zoom level controls for primary and secondary addresses (Menu > User Preferences > Zoom Level Settings).
  2. Ability to always show dispatches regardless of zoom level on map (Menu > User Preferences > Zoom Level Settings).

  1. Enhanced dispatched incident list to display more incidents




Assets Module

New Setting for Enabling Missed Checks
  1. Turning on the "Missed Checks" feature will enable the following: Overdue checks will be automatically removed from the overdue table and recategorized as "Missed" in the system (NOTE: "Missed" is a new checklist status). Checks will be automatically set to "missed"  based on the time period entered (in days) (Assets > Setup > Settings). In the example below, all checks greater than 16 days past due will be automatically recategorized as "Missing".




New Permission for Updating Archived/Closed Work Orders
  1. Added a new permission, "Assets - Update Archived/Closed Work Orders" (Admin > Roles > Select a role > Assets Permissions Table). This permission enables a user to make changes to an archived or closed work order.




History Tab Added to Work Orders
  1. A new tab, History, in the right panel of a work order provides a quick look into the changes made to work order.



Asset Module is Now Integrated with the Activities Calendar - COMPLETED CHECKS
  1. Completed apparatus and equipment checks now appear in the Activities calendar (Events > Activities > Select "Assets" from "Module" picklist).





Community Connect

Smoke Alarm Installation Requests
  1. Residents and business owners now have the ability to request a smoke alarm check/installation through Community Connect. Please contact your Client Success Manager for more details.






    Requests can be assigned to users or teams and viewed via Community Connect > Smoke Alarm Requests and Community Connect > My Smoke Alarm Requests.

Field Customization
  1. Existing NEMSIS fields may now be customized (Incident Documentation > EMS Setup > Custom Elements).





Incident Documentation Module

Making Apparatus Narratives Mandatory by Incident Type
  1. Instead of just making apparatus narratives mandatory for all incidents, you can now make them mandatory for specific incident types (Incident Documentation > NFIRS Setup > Wrap-up).






Making Certain Custom NFIRS Fields Mandatory by Incident Type
  1. Certain custom fields can be made required for specific incident types (Incident Documentation > Field Customization).

     


"Is Homeless?" Control Added
  1. New control added to disable address fields for Person Involved if person is homeless (Incident Documentation > Fire Incident List > Select Incident > Size-Up > People Involved). 





Multiple Enhancements to Incident Documentation
  1. The default view on the Fire Incident List is now the Last 30 Days. (Incident Documentation > Fire Incident List).






  2. "Open Weather" integration is now live. If the following setting is enabled (Incident Documentation > NFIRS Setup > Size-up > Weather), weather data will automatically populate in an incident report (Incident Documentation > Fire Incident List > Select an Incident > Size-up > Weather).

Auto-populate "Shift" field from the Scheduling Module
  1. A rotation in the Scheduling Module can now auto-populate the "Shift" field within an incident report. Use the "Associate with shift" field within the rotation to choose the shift that the rotation will auto-populate (Personnel > Setup > Rotations > Select a Rotation > Choose a Shift from "Associate with Shift"). Henceforth, whenever an incident occurs on the date of that rotation, it will auto-populate the shift field with that rotation.

Mobile App Unit Status Changes Now Auto-Populate NFIRS Unit Times
  1. You can now enable unit status changes in the mobile app to auto-populate times in the NFIRS incident report (Response > Setup > Responder Status). Additionally, each apparatus you wish to use this feature must also be associated with a "user" logged in as apparatus (Assets > Apparatus List > Select Apparatus >Apparatus Information) . More details can be in this KBA.

Incident List Default Date Range Setting
  1. You can now change the date range for viewing the Incident List. It's set to "Last 15 Days" by default (Incident Documentation > NFIRS Setup > General > "Incident List Default Date Range").





Response Zone & Fire Zone Management 
  1. Added two new settings to enable "Response Zone" and "Fire Zone" in an NFIRS incident report (Incident Documentation > NFIRS Setup > Response > Location). For agencies that have "Fire Zones" defined, the Fire Zone field will auto-populate in the NFIRS incident report based on incident address. 






    IMPORTANT:  In First Due, "Fire Zones" require a shape file and is managed in conjunction with your Client Success Manager. "Response Zones" are a picklist managed by local admins via Admin > Departments > List of Response Zones.







Mutual Aid Field Changed to Dropdown
  1. The mutual aid field in an NFIRS incident changed to a dropdown for easier use.






Reports Module

Added Agency Personnel ID on Payroll Report
  1. Payroll Report now displays Agency Personnel ID (Reports > Scheduling > Payroll).





Scheduling Module

Pay Rates 
  1. Pay rates can now be added to personnel (Personnel > Personnel List > Select a person > Pay Rate). The pay rate is currently used to calculate pay via the Response Payroll report (Reports > Scheduling > Response Payroll).





Time Off Approval 
  1. New option added that enables time off requests to be sent to all users with the permission to approve or deny time off (Personnel > Setup > Time Off Request Routing).







Filters Added to Time Off Review Section
  1. Multiple filters added to the Time Off Review section. Also, the "Submitted Date" column was added and you can sort ascending or descending by column (Personnel > Time Off > Review).







New Accrual Frequencies
  1. Added three new accrual frequencies, "Day of the Month", "Monthly" and "Annually" (allows you to set a specific date for the accrual to occur each year) (Personnel >Setup > Accruals).





Work Types On "My Shifts"
  1. The "Work Type" for an assignment now displays in "My Shifts".





Time Off Notes Field
  1. "Notes" field added to Time Off Request. The notes will also appear in a separate within the "Review" tab.







Show Unfilled Assignments as Vacancies
  1. The system can now show unfilled assignments as vacancies (Personnel > Setup > Assignments > Select Assignment > Select Position > Move Slider in "Actions" Column to On).






Max Accruals
  1. You can now set the maximum accrual (in hours) for a Time Off Type. The system will prevent the accrual from going beyond the maximum (Personnel > Setup > Accruals > Select an Accrual Type).
