Release Notes - Assets

Info
In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module.

New Features

1.      A completed checklist may now be deleted from the Checklist History
An option was to delete completed checks from the system.   The behavior is as follows:

Scheduled checks

  • If the scheduled date has not expired, it will be reinstated in the next due section.
  • If the scheduled date is expired, it will be reinstated in the overdue section.

On Demand checks

  • Deletes that record of a check.

When the checklist is deleted, it will be removed from both the Checklist Completion Status and History Completion Reports.

Users will need to have the Delete Completed Checks permission activated for their role in the Assets bucket

2.  Email Work Order - From Within Work Order

This function allows the user to send a PDF version of the Work Order to recipient(s) from inside the Work Order itself.

The email received also has the Work Order number as a link:

If the recipient is a system user and is currently logged in the system on the account from which the work order was sent, and has work order permissions, the link will open the work order directly.
If the recipient is NOT a system user or, is not logged in to the account from which the work order was sent, they will be directed to the system login screen.

Feature Enhancements

1.  Apparatus List - Update to Platform List Views

Lists continue to be updated to the new platform-wide List View library component.  There are two saved views created by default:
  1. Quick View - This is the default view when accessing the Apparatus List
  2. Master View - This view includes ALL data fields available within Apparatus records, including all specification fields based on NFIRS Apparatus Type

Please refer to the related articles below for more information

2.  Restrict Fleet Overview page to selected Apparatus Groups
  • A check box was added on the Apparatus Groups page where fleet managers can easily exclude certain groups from the overview, ensuring the page remains focused on the most critical apparatus.
  • All Apparatus Groups are included in the Fleet Overview by default but can be excluded by removing the check from the box.
  • Apparatus in excluded groups will no longer be shown with the rest of the apparatus in the main Fleet Overview after removing the check from the box, however, the group will still be accessible with the Apparatus Groups on the left-hand side of the page.

3. Update Import Wizard Field mappings

New fields were added to the Import Wizard for Bulk Upload of Equipment Records:

The following fields were removed from the Import Wizard:
  1. Inventory Count
  2. Inventory Min
  3. Inventory Max

4.  The new equipment types and fields mentioned above have also been added as field update questions for Equipment Checklists.

5.  The sample spreadsheet for bulk imports of Equipment has been updated to one that contains ALL fields.

6.  There is now an "Update" action in the Equipment List for bulk operations.

Users with the "Update Equipment permission" are now able to update the following fields as a bulk operation in the Equipment List when selecting one or multiple items:
  • In Service
  • Make
  • Model
  • Purchase Price
  • Funding Source
  • Next Service Test Date
  • Last Service Test Date
  • Next Hydro Static Test Date
  • Last Hydro Static Test Date
  • Initial In-Service Date
  • End of Service Life Date

7.  Full Page Equipment Audit

In preparation for the use of Barcode scanning to be included in the Equipment Audit process, the Equipment Audit has been updated to a full page instead of a modal.
This update is for all areas a check may be started from.

  1. Dashboard
  2. Fleet Overview
  3. Asset Page
  4. Embedded Check
  5. Nested Check

8.  Med Kits can now be included within Asset Checks

Asset checklists have been updated to support a question type of "Med Kit"

When Compartments or Storages containing a Med Kit are associated with a checklist; the Med Kit will now be displayed as a Pass/Fail within the Checklist.

The Pass/Fail behavior is as follows:

  1. When passed, it will be logged the same way as other equipment and kit checklist questions.
  2. If failed, the same “Report Occurrence” modal found within the Medications count process will open.

9.  Restrict Equipment Audit to Selected Equipment Groups

An option was added to control which Equipment Groups are included in the Equipment Audit process:

This appears as a toggle to “Include in Equipment Audit” to each Equipment Group on the Equipment Groups page.
All Equipment Groups are included in the Equipment Audit by default but can be excluded by toggling off the option.
Once excluded, the equipment in that group is no longer included in the Equipment Audit process, but if the sublocation containing the equipment is associated with a checklist, it will still display as a Pass/Fail            question when that sublocation appears within said checklist

10.  Kit List - Update to Platform List Views

Lists continue to be updated to the new platform-wide List View library component.
