Registry Edit Instructions for Enabling Network Paths
Purpose:
- This article is intended to provide instructions for enabling network shares in the First Due Connector after installation.
- There are two methods to enable network shares, with directions below. Both methods require a server reboot to finalize the change.

Directions:
Path 1
1) Download the attached zip file (bottom of article), right click EnableLinkedConnections.reg and click on open.
- When the UAC prompt appears, click on Yes
2) A Registry Editor prompt will appear. Click on Yes.
3) Once the registry key has been imported, reboot your Windows Server.
4) After reboot, run the Connector and map UNC paths as needed.
Path 2
1) Bring up the Run Window by pressing [Windows Key + R] , type "regedit" and hit enter.
2) Click Yes on the UAC prompt.
3) Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
4) Create a new DWORD value by right clicking in the blank area and selecting New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value
5) Name the value “EnableLinkedConnections” and set the value data to “1”. Then click OK.
6) Reboot your Windows Server once the registry key is created.
7) After reboot, run the Connector and map UNC paths as needed.
