Purpose

This article is designed to show and explain the Incident Identifiers  that will be used while completing an Incident Report in NERIS.


Background

When completing an Incident Report one of the main factors is selecting an Incident Type.  Much the same as it was in NFIRS, selecting an incident type drives much of what happens in the report.  Below are diagrams that explain how Final Incident Types breakdown.
