Fixes
Messaging – Mobile API Permission Synchronization
What - Resolved an issue where the GET /user/preference endpoint did not properly update the personnel_messaging flag when new messaging permissions were assigned to roles, ensuring mobile users immediately gain or lose access to the Messaging module based on current web-configured permissions.
Why - Previously, newly created messaging permissions or role updates did not consistently synchronize with the mobile API, causing delays in module access and inconsistencies between web and mobile environments. This fix ensures accurate, real-time access control aligned with role configuration.
How -
Assign or update messaging permissions within the web platform’s Role Configuration
The system automatically synchronizes permissions via the GET /user/preference endpoint
Confirm the Messaging module appears or is removed in the mobile app based on updated permissions
No manual cache clearing or intervention is required
Use Case - An administrator grants messaging permissions to a newly promoted supervisor. Upon next authentication, the supervisor immediately sees the Messaging module in the mobile app without requiring additional configuration or support intervention.
