The List Block in Form Builder enables users to create organized, structured lists within forms across multiple modules. This feature allows for clear presentation of information using either bulleted or numbered formats, improving form readability and data organization for field personnel and administrative users.

The List Block is a versatile form element available in Form Builder that supports both ordered (numbered) and unordered (bulleted) list formats. This block is commonly used for creating checklists, procedure steps, or any content that benefits from structured list presentation. The List Block is available across Inspections, Permits, Invoicing and Fire Investigation modules, providing consistency in form design and user experience.


Required Permissions

Users must have Form Builder permissions and appropriate module access (Inspections, Permits, or Fire Investigation) to create or edit forms containing List Blocks. Specific permissions required:

  • Form Builder access
  • Edit permissions for the target module
  • Form creation/modification rights

Step-by-Step Guide




1.  Create a new form or select edit to edit an existing form.






2. Mouse over in the left margin at the current block and select the + sign to add a Text Block under the current Block.





3. Select List from the drop down menu.






4.  Select "Tune" for options for the List Block:
  1. Unordered List (bullets)
  2. Ordered List - Starts with #1 and continues counting up when enter is selected
  3. Move Up, Down and Delete (select the X 2x to delete)






5. Enter text for your list as needed.

  • Use ordered lists for sequential procedures, steps, or priorities
  • Use unordered lists for equipment inventories, requirements, or non-sequential items
  • Keep list items concise and actionable
