Delete Completed Inspection

Delete Completed Inspection

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this Knowledge Base Article is to demonstrate how to delete a completed Inspection.
  2. NOTE: The current permission for "Fire Inspections - Delete" stays the same. It’s used to delete scheduled and in-progress inspections, and it performs a hard delete (they are completely deleted from the system and can’t be restored).

Instructions

Permission Required: Fire Inspection - Delete Completed Inspection
  1. Bucket: Fire Prevention

1. With the above permission enabled, the user will see the delete action in the Inspections List and My Inspections.
  1. The deletion of completed inspections can only be done individually. The bulk delete will only be used for scheduled and in-progress inspections and doesn’t allow the deletion of completed inspections.

2. The inspection can’t have any associated re-inspection, permit, or invoices to be deleted. If this happens, we’ll show an error message, and they must either delete or unlink the items.

3. If there are no associated items, we’ll show a modal for the user to confirm the deletion and provide a reason why they are doing the action.  Enter the reason for the deletion and then select "Delete."
  1. Once deleted, the inspection is archived and not shown in the list or any reports.

4. Deleted Completed Inspections can be recovered.  Reach out to your Client Success Manager to have them recovered.  Deleted Reinspection's cannot be recovered.
