Purpose Statement
The AI Generation permission controls which users can access AI generation tools when documenting fire reports. When an agency purchases AI Generation, access is granted to the FD Admin role by default. An FD Admin, or another authorized administrator, must enable this permission for any additional roles that need to use AI Generation within fire reports.
Background Information
AI Generation can help users document fire reports more efficiently by assisting with report content generation. Because this feature affects incident report documentation, access should be managed through Roles and Permissions.
After AI Generation is purchased, agencies should review which roles need access and enable the permission only for the appropriate users. Any user assigned to a role with this permission enabled will be able to use AI Generation within fire reports.
Required Permissions
To enable AI Generation for fire reports, the user must have access to:
Roles and Permissions within the Admin section.
By default, AI Generation access is granted to the FD Admin role after purchase. A user with the FD Admin role can enable or disable the AI Generation permission for other roles.
