Purpose Statement
The Receive, Usage, and Restock logs within Inventory Management provide a centralized audit trail for tracking inventory activity in the Assets module. These logs allow agencies to monitor incoming inventory, track when items are used, and manage restocking needs across apparatus and locations.
By reviewing these logs, users can maintain accurate inventory records, monitor costs, and ensure supplies are replenished efficiently.
Background Information
Inventory Management in the Assets module is a permissions-based feature, meaning users must have the appropriate inventory permissions enabled to view or modify inventory data.
The three logs available within Inventory Management provide visibility into different aspects of inventory activity:
Receive Log – Tracks inventory items that have been received from vendors
Usage Log – Records when inventory items are used and who used them
Restock Log – Displays restocking activity and identifies items that need replenishment
Each log includes tools for searching, filtering, creating custom views, and exporting data, allowing agencies to audit and analyze inventory activity over time.
Required Permissions
To access Inventory Management and view the Receive, Usage, and Restock logs, users must have Inventory Management permissions enabled within the Assets module.
If you cannot access Inventory Management but believe you should, contact your department’s First Due module manager or system administrator to request the appropriate permissions.
