Feature Enhancements
Dispatch Query Performance Optimization
- What - Optimized the
getLatestDispatch()query to significantly reduce execution time and eliminate timeout issues impacting Responder and Station views. - Why - Previous query inefficiencies caused delays and timeouts, negatively impacting real-time incident visibility and system reliability.
- How
- No user action required
- System improvements automatically apply to:
- Responder View
- Station View
- Note:
- Query performance improved from ~30 seconds to ~1.5–2.5 seconds
- Use Case - During high call volumes, users can now access the most recent dispatch information instantly without experiencing delays or system timeouts.
Station View Continuous Auto-Scroll
What - Improved the Station View auto-scroll functionality to continuously loop through all information tiles by automatically returning to the top once the bottom is reached. This creates a seamless, uninterrupted scrolling experience without requiring manual refresh or interaction.
Why - Station View is often used in unattended display environments where continuous visibility of information is critical. Previously, scrolling would stop at the end of the list, requiring manual intervention. This enhancement ensures all information remains visible over time, improving usability in station displays and monitoring setups.
How
Navigate to Station View within the application.
Enable or observe the auto-scroll behavior.
Allow the view to scroll through all displayed tiles.
Once the bottom is reached, the view will automatically return to the top and continue scrolling.
No user interaction is required to maintain continuous scrolling.
Use Case - A station display monitor showing active incidents and operational data can now continuously cycle through all tiles without interruption. Personnel can glance at the screen at any time and still receive up-to-date information without needing to manually restart scrolling.
Fixes
Call Notes Permission Enforcement Corrected
- What - Fixed an issue where call notes were visible in Call History despite permission restrictions, ensuring proper enforcement across all views.
- Why - Unauthorized visibility of sensitive call notes created potential compliance and privacy concerns.
- How
- Navigate to Responder View, Call History, or Station View
- Log in as a user without Read Dispatch Call Notes permission
- Confirm call notes are hidden
- Note:
- Applies consistently across all relevant modules
- Use Case - A user without appropriate permissions will no longer see sensitive call notes, ensuring compliance with access control policies.
NERIS Dispatch Incident Type Import Option Added
- What - Added a new Import Wizard option for NERIS Dispatch Incident Type Codes, supporting updated templates without impacting existing workflows.
- Why - Separating the new import process reduces user error and supports future transition away from legacy formats.
- How
- Navigate to Admin → Import Wizard
- Select NERIS – Dispatch Incident Type Codes
- Upload the appropriate template file
- Note:
- Access depends on permissions and client configuration
- Use Case - Administrators can safely import updated NERIS incident types without affecting existing configurations, ensuring data consistency.
Station View Scheduling and Auto-Refresh Issues Resolved
- What - Fixed issues where the scheduling widget displayed the next day’s shift prematurely and where Station View stopped auto-refreshing after extended use.
- Why - Incorrect scheduling data and lack of auto-refresh reduced situational awareness and required manual intervention.
- How
- Navigate to Station View
- Observe:
- Scheduling widget reflects correct shift timing
- Incidents update automatically without manual refresh
- Note:
- Auto-refresh now runs continuously at configured intervals
- Use Case - A station monitor display now reliably shows current shift assignments and live incident updates without requiring manual refreshes.
