Purpose Statement
This article explains how to manage Address Status within the Pre-Plan module. Address Status allows users to control whether an occupancy is active or inactive for mapping, pre-planning, and general system availability.
Background Information
Address Status determines whether an occupancy is visible and usable throughout First Due. When an address is marked Inactive, it is removed from maps and no longer available for pre-planning or selection by users. This is commonly used for closed, demolished, duplicate, or no-longer-relevant occupancies.
By default, Pre-Plan Organizer searches display active occupancies only. Inactive occupancies remain in the system and can be viewed by adjusting search filters.
Common use cases include:
Removing closed or demolished occupancies from maps
Temporarily hiding locations from pre-planning workflows
Maintaining historical records without deleting data
Prerequisites:
Access to the Pre-Plan module
Existing occupancy records
