Purpose Statement
The Hydrant Work Queue allows users to stage hydrants that require operational work such as inspections, service checklists, or flow tests. This feature helps organize hydrants that require attention and provides a streamlined workflow for starting and completing hydrant maintenance tasks.
By collecting hydrants in a temporary queue, field users and supervisors can efficiently manage hydrant operations and quickly initiate services directly from the queue.
Background Information
The Hydrant Work Queue acts as a temporary task management tool within the Hydrant Module. Users can add hydrants from multiple areas of the platform, including the Hydrant Map and Hydrant List, allowing teams to easily prepare hydrants for upcoming inspections or operational work.
Once hydrants are added to the queue, users can rearrange them based on priority or workflow order. From the queue, users can immediately start service checklists or flow tests without needing to navigate back to the hydrant list or map.
When a task is completed, the hydrant automatically moves to the Completed section of the Work Queue for quick confirmation of finished work.
