The My Inspections module provides users with a personalized view of inspections assigned to them, enabling efficient tracking, filtering, and management of inspection activities. This feature helps streamline workflows by allowing users to quickly locate, update, and complete inspections without navigating the full inspection list.

The My Inspections view is designed specifically for individual users, offering a simplified version of the full inspections list with relevant tools for day-to-day operations. While it does not allow users to start or schedule inspections directly, it includes powerful filtering, search, and management capabilities.

- Reviewing assigned inspections
- Filtering inspections by status or timeframe
- Managing reinspections and overdue items
- Preparing inspections for offline use
- Sending reports or reminders
Required Permissions
Permissions may vary by agency configuration, but typically include:
- View Inspections – Required to access the My Inspections module
- Edit Inspections – Needed to modify inspection details or schedules
- Reopen Inspections – Allows reopening completed inspections
- Delete Inspections – Enables deletion (if applicable)
- Send Emails/Notifications – Required for sending reports and reminders
- Create Saved Views – Controls ability to save and manage filter views

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access My Inspections
- Navigate to the Module Stack
- Select My Inspections
2. Use Global Search
- Locate the Global Search bar at the top
- Enter a:
- Partial address, or
- Business name
- Click Search
- Click Reset to clear results
3. Apply Filters
- Click the Filter dropdown (down arrow)
- Select filter criteria such as:
- Status (e.g., completed, failed)
- Date range (e.g., last 90 days)
- Overdue inspections
- Reinspections or unscheduled reinspections
- Districts or fire zones
- Email or print status
- Request number (from portals)
- Click Apply
Tip: Remove individual filters by clicking the “X” next to them.
4. Create and Manage Saved Views
- Apply desired filters
- Click the Save icon
- Name the view
- Click Save
To update:
- Modify filters or columns
- Click Save to override
5. Customize Columns
- Show/hide columns by selecting/deselecting fields
- Drag columns to reorder
- Resize columns as needed
- Sort columns (ascending/descending)
6. Use Map View
- Click the Map icon top right next to global search
- View inspections geographically
- Zoom and select inspection points for details (bottom left hand corner)
- Use the Google Pegman to drop on designated streets for street view
- Choose between Map or Satellite View
- Able to center to oneself
7. Share Inspections to Calendar (iCal)
- Apply a filter (e.g., scheduled inspections)
- Click Share to iCal
- Copy the generated link
- Paste into:
- Google Calendar
- Outlook
- Other calendar apps
Note:
- Inspections without a time appear as all-day events
- Adding a time schedules them in hourly slots
8. Download for Offline Use
- Select inspections or use filtered results
- Click Download
- Sync to device for offline access
- Use Sync to update or Remove from Cache to revert
9. Manage Individual Inspections
- Click an inspection to Review (Eye)
- Use Play/Resume to continue an inspection (Play Button)
- Reopen inspections (if permitted) Pencil within a Circle
- Delete (if permitted) Trash Can
- Check Email Status for:
- Sent date
- Viewed status
10. Perform Bulk Actions
- Select multiple inspections
- Choose an action:
- Send Email
- Individual or combined
- Send Reminders
- Modify Inspections
- Update date/time
- Assign inspector
- Add notes

11. Export Data
- Click Download CSV to export inspection data

- Click the blue linked occupancy name
