Purpose Statement
The Kit List provides a centralized view for managing kits within the Assets module. Kits typically represent deployable groupings of equipment, such as EMS bags, rope kits, or water rescue kits, that can be assigned and used during emergency incidents.
The Kit List enables users to efficiently search, filter, organize, update, and manage kit records while providing visibility into important kit information, including the Electronic Product Code (EPC) used with RFID functionality.
Background Information
Kits are commonly configured as portable collections of equipment that can be deployed independently during incidents.
The Kit List is designed to:
- Provide visibility into kits and their current status
- Display important kit information, including the Electronic Product Code (EPC) for RFID
- Support quick updates and management of kit records
- Enable filtering and searching for faster access to specific kits
- Allow users to organize list columns and sort displayed information
- Provide downloadable list data for ad hoc reporting
Key Notes:
- The Kit List opens to either the view you have pinned or the view you were previously using.
- The Default View is available out of the box.
- Users may also have custom views, views shared with them, and favorite views.
- The standard filters do not include an Archived filter. To view archived kits, create a custom list view configured to display archived kits.
- Additional workflows such as creating custom views, importing kits through CSV, and managing individual kit records are covered in separate articles.
Required Permissions
To fully utilize the Kit List, users may require the following permissions:
- Assets Module Access
- View Kits
- Create Kits
- Edit Kits
- Delete Kits
- Bulk Operations (Delete)
- Import Data for CSV import functionality
Permission configurations may vary based on agency roles and responsibilities.

Open the Filters area.
Apply the available filters as needed, such as:

Select the pin again to unpin the Filters area.
Important Note:
Archived kits are not available as a standard filter option. To access archived kits, create a custom list view configured to display archived records.
5. Organize and Sort Kit List Columns

- Select the kit's blue hyperlink.
- The selected kit's overview opens, allowing you to access its record directly.
11. Adjust Pagination and Download the Kit List

- Select the number of records you want to display at one time.
- Navigate between pages as needed.
- Apply any desired filters or sorting before downloading the list.
- Select the download option.
The downloaded list reflects the information currently displayed in the table, including the applicable sort order. This can be used as a quick ad hoc report, such as identifying and exporting all kits belonging to a particular group.
