Validating Assignments

Purpose

  1. To explain how to validate Assignments on the Shift Board.
  2. Validating assignments after completing shifts ensures accurate payroll information and prevents any changes being made. This process directly impacts the Payroll Report (Reports > Scheduling > Payroll). This report has a filter and column in the report to identify validated personnel work assignments.

Directions

1. Click on Scheduling > Shift Board.





2. Click the Checkbox next to assignment to validate all assignments or the checkbox next to each assignment to do one by one.

3. Click on the lock icon.

4. Assignments will now have Validated next to the Check Box.

5. Additionally, you will be unable to adjust any information regarding personnel on the assignment.

6. To unlock a assignment to make changes to a personnels shift, click the checkbox.

7. Next, click the unlock icon. You will be able to make changes to the personnels shift as needed, and can lock the assignment back down when completed.

8. Validated Assignments are able to be filtered within the Reports > Scheduling > Payroll Section, and show within a column on the report.
