Using First Due to Dispatch Incidents

Using First Due to Dispatch Incidents

The First Due platform integrated with many different Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.  With the creation of an incident our system matches the address and shows the relevant pre-plan information for that location.  There are a numerous situations that creating an incident directly in First Due could be beneficial for an agency.  Some examples are:
  1. Agency does not have a CAD system
  2. CAD Downtime
  3. Significant Event
    1. Natural Disaster
    2. Large Scale Planned Event

Creating An Incident In First Due

  1. Log in to First Due with an account that has the "Dispatch Items - Create" permission (Not sure if your role allows this, read our Roles article for more information)
  2. Navigate to Response > Incident List
  3. Select  button
  4. Choose the appropriate Dispatch Type Code from the list.
  5. Select responding Units
    1. To select multiple units, press and hold either the CTRL or CMD button while selecting each unit
  6. Enter any associated Call Notes
  7. Search for and select the Incident Address
    1. This list will filter by addresses in your account
