Transferring Medications

Purpose 

  1. To explain how to transfer medications in the Medication Module. 


Video 



Directions 

1. Click on Medications> Med Supply. 





2. Click on Transfer.


Click on Transfer.



3. Click on the destination drop down to select where the medication will be transferred to.

4. Click the downward pointing arrow next to the medication you want to transfer. Once it is open, select the checkbox.
  1. Next, Select the rightward facing arrow to add the medication to the transfer.

5. To increase the amount of medication transferred, select the up arrow till the units reflect how many you wish to transfer. 
  1. You can add additional medications to this transfer by following the steps above over again. 
  2. When done, click Sign.

6. Click on the pencil to sign the transfer.

7. Next, determine who will be signing as the witness.

8. If it is a user from a outside agency fill in the:
  1. Name. 
  2. ID Type.
  3. License/ID Number.
  4. Agency. 
Then, have them sign by selecting the pencil icon in the Witness signature box. 





9. If the witness is someone in your system, select their name from the list and have them sign by selecting the pencil in the witness box. 
  1. Click Save when signed.

10. The medication will be transferred from Med Supply to the destination of your choosing.
