There are certain conditions that may be temporary, but should be included on a Pre-Plan such as blocked access, hoarding situations, temporary fire department connections, etc. When adding these units to a pre-plan, users can set an expiration date for each unit. This article will review how to set an expiration for a pre-plan unit and how to review expired units.
Setting a Pre-Plan Unit Expiration
While adding Pre-Plan Units to a pre-plan, there is a field in each unit to set an expiration.
- From the Edit Pre-Plan Unit menu, select the field.
- Choose a Date for this unit to expire.
- Choose either:
- Remove - This will automatically remove the unit on the selected date.
- Review - This will place the pre-plan unit into review status.

Reviewing Expired Pre-Plan Units
Pre-plan units that have been set to Review and have passed their expiration date will appear in the Preplan Expiring Items report. To view and edit expired items, follow these steps:
- Click on the menu button
- Click on Pre-Plan Data
- Click on Pre-Plan Expiring Items
- An expired units will be displayed here.
- Users can search the list of expired units by:
- Address
- Expiration Date - within the next:
- Next 24 Hours
- Next 7 Days
- Next 30 Days
- Next 90 Days
- Next 180 Days
- Next Year
- Custom
- Status:
- Expiring
- Expired
- Removed
- To edit one of these units, click the edit icon found next to the Status column.
