Step 1: Navigate to EMS Incident List
- Navigate to the EMS Incident List to locate your reports
Step 2: Locate the EMS Incident
- Find the EMS Incident that has been requested for review
- Click on the Edit EMS Record Button (eyeball icon or pencil icon) pending on the status of the report
- Note that the QA Status will show as "Waiting"
Step 3: Access QA Comments
- Click on the Comments Icon to display all QA comments associated with the report
Step 4: Navigate to Specific Fields
- Click on a specific comment to select it
- Click the "Go to Field" button to navigate directly to the referenced field within the report
Step 5: Resolve Comments Without Edits
- If a comment does not require an edit to the report, simply click "Resolve"
- Optionally, type in a reply to the reviewer explaining your response
Step 6: Handle Comments Requiring Edits
- If a comment requires an edit to the report, verify the reviewer has placed the report into "In Progress" status
- If not in "In Progress" status, you'll need to change the incident status to "In Progress" to make edits (requires appropriate permissions)
Step 7: Confirm Status Change
- Click "Confirm" to confirm the status change to "In Progress"
Step 8: Locate Fields for Editing
- Find the specific field that requires editing based on the QA/QI comment
Step 9: Make Requested Changes
- Make the requested changes to the identified field
- Click "Resolve" when corrections are complete
- Optionally, leave a reply for the reviewer explaining the changes made
- Click "Send" to submit your response
Step 10: Monitor Comment Status
- The Comments section will track all comments and their resolved/unresolved status
- Review all comments to ensure none are missed
Step 11: Submit for Final Review
- When all comments have been addressed, click "Submit Approval"
Step 12: Verify Status Changes
- The Incident Status will change to "Provider Completed"
- The QA Status will change to "Pending"
- Your responsibilities as the Crew Member/Report Author are now complete
- Review all QA/QI comments thoroughly before beginning the resolution process
- Use the "Go to Field" function to ensure you're addressing the correct sections
- Provide clear, professional responses when replying to reviewers
- Make corrections promptly to maintain workflow efficiency
- Double-check all changes before resolving comments to avoid additional review cycles
- Communicate with supervisors if you disagree with requested changes
