Release Notes - Training Module
In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module.
Feature Enhancements
1. Automatic Start Time Setting for Training Classes
- What: Automatic Start Time Setting for Training Classes
- Why: Allows users to specify a default start time in hours and minutes for Training Classes
- How: Go to Setup within the Training Module. Under Settings select "Start of Day (hour/min)" and update with default start time
- Use Case: When creating a new Training Class, the start time field is automatically populated with the time specified in the "Start of Day (hour/min)" setting under setup
2. E-Learning and Regular Objective Types
- What: E-Learning Objective Type
- Why: Gives user the ability to select between E-Learning Objective and Regular Objective Types
- How: Go to Setup within the Training module>Objectives> Add Objective
- Use Case: When creating or editing an objective users will be able to select objective types:
- E-Learning Objective:
- YouTube link field is removed from the form
- Only one SCORM file can be uploaded per E-Learning Objective
- The system validates that the uploaded files is a valid SCORM package
- Ability to filter Objectives by Objective Type
- Regular Objectives:
- All existing fields for regular objectives remain available and functional
- Users will not be able to add SCORM packages to Regular Objectives
3. Filter Certification by Status in Manage Certifications
- What: Filter Certifications by Status in Manage Certifications
- Why: Gives users the ability to filter Certifications by status of:
- In Progress
- Assigned
- Ready to be Assigned
- How: Go to Manage Certifications > Select Filter option > Select status
- Use Case: Ability to filter existing Certifications by single or multiple status options
4. Save Confirmation Notification when changes are made in Training Setup
- What: Save Confirmation Notification will automatically appear anytime changes are made in Training Setup
- Why: Gives users confirmation that changes have been saved
- How: Go to Training Module Setup > when changes are made you will see the "Setting Saved Successfully" Notification
- Use Case: When making changes within the Training Module Setup changes will automatically save
5. Remove Classes from Active and Upcoming Dashboard when Completed
- What: Remove Classes from Active and Upcoming Dashboard when Completed
Why: Organizes Completed Classes in Completed Training within the Dashboard
How: Once all objectives are met the completed Class will automatically populate in the Completed Training
Use Case: Users will be able to view all Completed Training under one header in the Training Dashboard
6. Payroll Rate for Attendees will now automatically populate from their personnel file
- What: Automatically import the Payroll Rate from the personnel file for agencies that pay by attendance.
- Why: Agencies did not want to manual enter the pay rate for each individual any time they attended a class.
- How: Go to Personnel > Personnel List > Edit > Basic Pay Rates > Training Pay and enter an amount
- Use Case: An Agency has Personnel that are paid per call, per class, or per standby. This eliminates the need for them to enter the payrate in each class they take. The amount will display under the Payroll Summary tab.
7. Class Admin Tab created under Creating or Editing a Class
- What: Four fields were moved off of the Class Tab and moved over to the newly created Class Admin Tab.
- National Course ID
- State Course ID
- Internal Course ID
- Estimated Water Usage
- Why: This reorganizes the data captured in the training classes in a more logical sequence and improves the user experience.
- How: Go to Training > Training Classes > Add Class > Class Admin
- Use Case: If an agency does or does not use these fields, it moves them into a clearer sequence when Creating a Class.
