Feature Enhancements
Shift Movement Position Selection
What: You can now choose a user's position when using the Shift Movement Feature.
Why: We added this per the request of a department that requested it.
How: Navigate to Shift Board and select a user. When placing the Until Date, the Shift Movement will appear. Turn it on, and you will see the ability to choose the position for the assignment you select.
Use Case: Say you want to ensure that the user is placed in the correct position, this will allow you to do so, without having to verify their position later on.
Auto Approval Rule
What: We've added an Auto Approval Rule, that will automatically approve Time off for you.
Why: This was added per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to Setup > Time Off Settings > Time Off Rules and Add a Rule. You will see the toggle for Auto Approve, and click it on.
Use Case: Your department manages time off, but you don't want to manage it until a certain number of users are off. You can set this up to allow the system to automatically approve Time Off till a certain limit, then after that limit, it will require admin approval.
Default Board view on the Shift Board.
What: You are now able to set a Default Board View on the Shift Board.
Why: This was done per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to Setup > Boards and click the star next to the Board you want to default.
Use Case: If you have all assignments on the Shift Board but only want your front-line personnel to use a certian one, defualt the board. They can still navigate to the other views, but their most used board will be there waiting for them when they login.
Keep Previous Tier Open
What: You can now choose to keep previous tiers open in Call Shifts.
Why: This was a request of a department.
How: For this function to work, you can use the Candidate Method without manual awarding, as well as the non-candidate method with wait time enabled. This feature will not work when using the non-candidate method with wait time and the setting that the user can only accept during their wait time. If you wish to keep the tier open, simply toggle on the switch when sending the call shift.
Use Case: If you want to tier the call shift, but allow for the tiers above to remain open, reducing manual interference with the process by admin.
Date Search Added to Call Shift Rankings Page
What: We added a Date search field to the Call Shift Rankings Page. This allows you to search in advance of the current date to see how the rankings would be in the future.
Why: This was added per the request of a department, but also to mirror the Mandatory Ranking page.
How: Navigate to Call Shifts > Rankings and utilize the Date and Search feature.
Use Case: I want to see the rankings page for next week, to ensure the list will have enough individuals. This will allow me to do so.
Matching Qualifiers Limits
What: We enhanced the Limit Trades to Matching Qualifiers setting for Shift Trades. Previously, this required individuals to have ALL qualifiers match those they were trading with. It is now enhanced to where only the qualifier for the shift that is exchanged must match.
Why: This was enhanced per the request of a department.
How: To use this setting, navigate to Settings > Time Off Settings > Trade Settings and turn on Limit Trades to Matching Qualifiers.
Use Case: This can ensure that individuals are not trading shifts with those not qualified.
Payroll Canned Report
What: We improved the Payroll Canned reports to separate the Work Type and Short Code into two separate columns.
Why: This was done to comply with Payroll Vendor requirements.
How: No steps need to be taken on your part, simply navigate to Reports > Scheduling > Payroll.
Messaging
What: Messaging has been moved to its own module.
Why: Messaging is being re-vamped, to allow for more modules to utilize it.
How: Nothing needs to be done on your part, simply just go to the Messaging Module to send messages.
Exclusion Rules for Call Shift and Mandatory Eligibility
What: Users can now be excluded from receiving Call Shifts or being hit for Mandatory.
Why: This was a requested feature by a department.
How: Navigate to Setup > Time Off Settings > Exclusion Rules. Here you can click the plus sign and determine how many hours before and after the Time Off is excluded.
Use Case: I don't want to interfere with the Time Off that is scheduled for the end user. This will allow me to bypass those users, respecting their Time Off.
Mandatory Application of Hours
What: We have added the ability to apply the Mandatory hours Last Updated or Last Date Forced.
Why: This was per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to Setup > Call Shift Rules > Mandatory Settings. Here you can determine which way you wish to apply the hours.
Prevent Deletion of Validated Data
What: A new setting was added that allows you to prevent the deletion of validated data.
Why: This was added to ensure that your department can maintain historical payroll data.
How: Navigate to Setup > Shift Board Settings. Here you can turn the toggle on.
Use Case: I want to ensure that the historical data is maintained and that users do not accidentally delete things. This setting will allow for it.
Update to the More Options tab on the Shift Board
What: We updated the More Options tab to allow for future system updates.
Why: This was done to prepare for future system updates. The timelines of these updates will be announced in the future.
Payroll Reports
