Release Notes - Incident Documentation - ePCR

Info
In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module.

New Features

1. New "Code Mode" introduced to the RIT (Rapid Incident Tool).

  1. This will enable providers to document interventions more efficiently during critical emergencies. By bypassing the need to open and save individual RIT tool modals, providers can focus on rapid documentation while staying on the main RIT interface. This feature is especially helpful in life-or-death scenarios where seconds matter.
  2. New Features:
    1. Code Mode Toggle:  A new toggle on the RIT modal allows providers to enable or disable Code Mode dynamically.

    2. Quick Add Functionality:  When enabled, clicking on a RIT tool button adds the intervention without opening the modal.

    3. Toast Notifications: A brief pop-up confirms the intervention was added, ensuring providers can quickly move to the next action.

    4. Session Persistence:  Code Mode remains active for the duration of the session, even if the RIT tool modal is closed and reopened.

2.  Introducing a new interactive graphical interface for selecting crash impact areas using a clock method.

  1. Features:
    1. Interactive Clock Image:  An interactive image of a vehicle with a clock overlay allows users to select crash impact areas (e.g., "3" for the right side, "12" for the front).

    2. Vehicle Variants:  Accommodates various vehicle types, such as sedans, motorcycles, and semi-trailers. All vehicle types follow the same clock method, ensuring consistency.

    3. Efficient Workflow:  Direct selection from the graphical interface eliminates the need for external reference materials, improving speed and accuracy.

    4. Optional Free-Text Input:  Users can manually input a numeric clock position if preferred.

    5. Slide-Out Menu for Vehicle Types:  Users can access a menu with additional vehicle images to match the incident and select impact areas specific to the vehicle type.

    6. NEMSIS Alignment:  Ensures selected impact areas populate the correct NEMSIS fields based on the clock position.

3.  The ability to pull in the Shift when Crew is imported.

Info
This feature are for those utilizing the First Due Scheduling module.
  1. This feature ensures that when importing crew members from the Scheduler into an ePCR, their assigned shift is automatically populated in the Response | Shift field.
  2. Similar to NFIRS, when performing the CAD Download and mapping the crew, the shift is taken from the rotation to which that incident corresponds.

Feature Enhancements

1. RIT tools will apply roles for crew members to be populated automatically based on their certification level.

  1. This feature provides better handling for scenarios where crew members are assigned to shared fields or separate fields for specific sections like medications or procedures.
  2. Features:
    1. Role Auto-Population:  Automatically assigns roles to crew members based on their certification level when they are selected in the RIT tool.

    2. Shared Field Support:  For shared crew fields, the assigned role applies universally across all sections/tasks.

    3. Separate Field Support:   For separate crew fields, roles are assigned individually for each section (e.g., different medications or procedures).

Alert
Crew members must have a previously assigned Certification Licensure Level found in the NEMSIS section within their personnel record.

2.  Removed the MVC and Is Fall toggles.

  1. This update simplifies the Injury Section by removing the hardcoded "MVC" and "Is Fall" toggles, which previously hid critical fields required by States or Departments.
  2. These fields will now be automatically exposed when the Injury Section is enabled, giving clients full control to conditionally hide fields using workflows.
  3. Enhancements:
    1. Remove MVC Toggle:
Fields previously hidden by the "MVC" toggle are now automatically exposed:

      • Main Area Vehicle Impacted (eInjury.05)

      • Patient Location (eInjury.06)

      • Safety Equipment Used (eInjury.07)

      • Airbag Deployment (eInjury.08)

    2. Remove Is Fall Toggle:
Fields previously hidden by the "Is Fall" toggle are now automatically exposed:

      • Height of Fall (eInjury.09)

    3. Expose Injury Fields by Default:
When the Injury Section is made available (eSituation.02 = Yes), the following fields will be automatically displayed:

      • Cause of Injury (eInjury.01)

      • Mechanism of Injury (eInjury.02)

      • Trauma Triage Criteria 1 & 2 (eInjury.03)

      • Trauma Triage Criteria 3 & 4 (eInjury.04)

      • Main Area Vehicle Impacted (eInjury.05)

      • Patient Location (eInjury.06)

      • Safety Equipment Used (eInjury.07)

      • Airbag Deployment (eInjury.08)

      • Height of Fall (eInjury.09)

    4. Optional ACN Toggle Remains:
The ACN Data toggle remains intact due to its infrequent use.

3. This enhancement restores the functionality of color-coded highlights for fields with QA comments in the incidents form.

Info
This functionality was lost during the transition to the new UI and will now be reintroduced.
  1. How it works:
    1. A QA note is added to a field in the incident form.

    2. Based on the comment's color (red, yellow, green), the corresponding field is highlighted.

    3. If the comment is within a grid, both the grid and field are flagged with the appropriate color.

    4. The highlighting persists until the comment is addressed or removed.

4.  To improve clarity when reviewing the Export Summary, a new column for the Patient Care Record Number (eRecord.01) will be added to the Export Summary grid.

  1. This enhancement will allow users to easily differentiate between incidents with multiple patients and ensure efficient reconciliation without needing to navigate to individual audit logs.
  2. Enhancements:
    1. New Column:

      • Patient Care Record Number (eRecord.01): Displays the unique identifier for each patient care report.

      • Positioned between the "Incident Number" and "Endpoint" columns in the Export Summary grid.

    2. New Filter:

      • eRecord.01: Enables users to filter the Export Summary List by Patient Care Record Number for faster and more precise searches.

5. Refined audit tracking after first completion.

  1. To ensure audit log consistency and accuracy, this enhancement refines audit tracking to expose field-level edits only after a report has entered the "Provider Complete" status at least once.
  2. Key Features:
    1. Field-Level Audit Tracking:

      • Field-level old/new value tracking will only be enabled after the first instance of "Provider Complete."

      • Edits made prior to the first completion will not be exposed in the audit log.

    2. Status Validation:

      • The "Provider Complete" status serves as the validation checkpoint to trigger field-level audit tracking.

    3. Consistency Across Scenarios:

      • Ensures edits tied to attachments, repeat patient information, or other fields are not logged prematurely.

6. Increased Code Length to 100 characters for eOther.13 - Signature Reason.

7. Added other pregnancy fields (Estimated Date, Number of Previous Pregnancies, Number of Previous Births) to workflows.

8. Added eArrest fields to Workflow Hide ability.

9. Added all workflows to Vitals Section Non-NEMSIS Fields.
