How: When documenting the system will automatically display Canadian address fields.
4. Improvement to the Search Patient

7. Vendor Directory Setup

Why: This enhancement improves data quality by adding validation for National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers in the Vendor Directory, warning users when an NPI doesn't meet the standard 10-character length requirement.
How: When entering or editing an NPI number, the system checks the number count. A warning will display if the NPI is less than 10 characters, despite the warning you can still save the entry after acknowledging the message.
8. Saved Data
What: Online/Offline error messages confuse users when there are legitimate save issues happening.
Why: This enhancement improves error messaging to clearly differentiate between connectivity issues and actual data saving problems, preventing user confusion and potential data loss.
How: When a save error occurs (unrelated to connectivity), the system displays a specific message: "An internal server error has occurred. Your data will be saved locally."
9. Field Customization
What: A few data sections were missing the ability to control the values.
Why: This enhancement adds "Values" tab functionality to several important data fields in Field Customization, providing administrators with greater control over dropdown options and improving data consistency.
How: From the Value tab in the Field Customization you are able to customize the display description, activate or deactivate specific list values, and reorder items using drag-and-drop or the sort A-Z button.

eScene.24 - First Other EMS or Public Safety Agency at Scene to Provide Patient Care

What: When Not Value is available for 1:1 fields and NULL, export as Not Value.
Why: This feature aligns with NEMSIS standards by implementing proper handling of NULL values in 1:1 type fields.
How: When these fields are left blank, the system will now export them with appropriate "Not Recorded" or "Not Applicable" values based on configuration settings. Navigate to the Field Customization / Default value per section / General Section dropdown in the EMS Setup select the desired default value.
11. Current Medication
What: Current Medications (eHistory.12) should make distinct values available offline.
Why: This feature enhances offline functionality by making commonly used medications from the Current Medications field (eHistory.12) available during offline operations without requiring the entire RX Norm library to be synced.
How:
Building the Offline List:
System tracks medications documented in incidents
These medications are automatically added to the provider's offline library
Offline medication lists update during scheduled sync processes (weekly/daily)
Offline Usage:
Providers can select from previously documented medications when offline
The component functions similarly to online mode, but with a limited selection
When entering a medication not in the offline cache, the entry will be cleared when leaving the field
User receives message: "Oops! We couldn't find this medication name in our offline list. Please try again when you're online."
Growing the Library:
Each time a new medication is used while online, it's automatically added to the offline availability list
This creates a client-specific, usage-based offline medication library that grows over time
