New Features
What: MAYDAY Situation Management
Key Features
MAYDAY Button is now available within the Command Board
Units can be selected at initiation of the MAYDAY form the list of Units on the Command Board.
Units identified in MAYDAY situation are placed in a newly created MAYDAY section
MAYDAY Checklist is automatically created (Can be configured in Command Setup)
A MAYDAY Assignment is automatically created and added to the Assignments List
Units identified in the MAYDAY are highlighted RED and cannot be edited
Logging of all actions, edits, status, tracking and management
Advanced Status Management
Unique Unit Statuses are now available on the Units in the MAYDAY section

Why: To allow Users to to manage MAYDAY operations while utilizing the Command Board.
How: MAYDAY option is now active in all Command Boards. MAYDAY Checklist will need to be configured within the Command Setup.

Feature Enhancements
1. Messaging of Personnel in Command Board
What: The Messaging feature is now added to the Command Board
Why: Enables user to Message
groups, individuals or all users from the Command Board by using the messaging
platform that exists in the Scheduling Module
How: Messaging is now available
within the Command Board in the options drop down menu. Groups, qualifiers and
personnel will need to be set up through the scheduling module
Use Case: Can be utilized to notify a
Chief Group when incidents are upgraded or to alert all personnel of a working
fire, as examples
2. Notes for Assignments and Units
What: Easier entry of log entries
that need to be attached to a specific Unit or Assignment.
Why: Streamlined the flow of adding a note to an Assignment or Unit for improved functionality and ease of use.
How: Enhancement is now
available and can be utilized within the Command Module by selecting the
stacked menu on a Unit or an Assignment and selecting "Add Note".
Use Case: Notes can now be added that will be specifically attached to either a Unit or an Assignment. These notes can then be filtered when reviewing or searching log entries.
3. Unassigned Units--Button reposition and Search option
What: The existing
"Unassigned Units" button has been repositioned below the header
within the Unassigned Units area into a A new button, “+ Unassigned
Units".
Why: To match the style and functionality of the "+Assignment" button. This allows for consistent visual design across the module and uniform operation to ensure consistent user interaction
How: No action needed. Function is now live in all Command Modules
4. Command Setup Language Consistency
What: Removal, replacement and standardizing of terms and terminology used within the Command Module.
Overall Strategies:
Change the header of the
first column from Name to Overall Strategies
Remove the column for
Dispatch Incident Types, as associations are handled in templates, and the
column serves no purpose
Command Setup List Updates:
Replaced the term Inactive
with Archive to maintain consistency with other menus.
Applied this to every list
within Command Setup
Checklist Item Type:
Change the header of the
first column from Name to Checklist Item Types for clarity and consistency.
Dispatch Incident Types Standardization:
Ensure the term Dispatch
Incident Types is consistently used for the relevant column in both Templates
and the Template Setup menu.
Enhanced Quick Links Management
A pencil icon has been
added next to each quick link in the Command Setup menu, allowing users to edit
existing links
Users can now edit quick
links by clicking on the pencil icon, making it easier to update and manage
links. Previously, Quick Links were unable to be edited and had to be deleted and recreated.
Reuse of Inactive Template names
Users can now create new
templates with the same name as any template that has been marked as inactive.
This change removes the
previous limitation where template names had to be unique, even if the existing
template was no longer active
Why: Standardizing nomenclature
throughout the Command Module for better understanding of module and functions
How: No actions needed. All changes are now active in Command Module
Use Case: Allows for better communication and understanding of relationship between items within the Command Module and the First Due Ecosystem.
