Purpose

  1. The purpose of this article is to help navigate the Location tab when completing a fire report.

Directions


1. From within a report navigate to the Response section and select on Location.

2. From the Location area you are able to document the scene information.
  1. If established to CAD the information will populate.

3. There are new fields within NERIS location to note.
  1. Location Use Type
  2. Specific Use
  3. Reason location was not in use
  4. Four toggles have been added, see step 7 for details.

5. You are able to document the Location Use Type by using the dropdown or list view.

6. After selecting a Location Use Type then you are able to select a Specific Use from the dropdown/list view.





7. There are four Boolean (True/False, Yes/No) questions.
  1. Location in Use
  2. Primary Indoors
  3. People Present
  4. Location used as intended





8. If Location in Use is enabled then Reason location was not in use becomes deactivated.

9. If Location in Use was not enabled then you are able to select a Reason location was not in use.

11. If your agency has Fire zones or Response zones enabled, using the dropdowns to select those zones, you are also able to document the Population Density using the dropdown.
