Navigating the Hydrant Map

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to explain the features within the Hydrants Map.

Navigation


1. Navigate to the Hydrants module and select Hydrants Map.

2. In the top left of the map for those with the appropriate permissions will be able to add a new hydrant by selecting the + New Hydrant button.






3. When creating a new hydrant fill in the Basic information and move the map icon to the location where the new hydrant will appear on the map then select Save.






4. At the top right of the map there are three features.
  1. The magnifying glass allows you to search for a hydrant by address.
  2. Filter hydrants to populate on the map.
  3. More Actions will become active when a hydrant is selected from the map and then able to start a service test, flow test and create a work order.

5. The map tools can be used to:
  1. Show or hide layers.
  2. Turn on or off Google points of interest.
  3. Rotate map clockwise or counter clockwise.
  4. Tilt the map.
  5. Zoom in or out using the + or - symbol.





6. When selecting the Filter tab search fields appears on the left that allows to filter hydrants.

Once search criteria is entered select Apply, you can also select Reset to clear search criteria.

7. When selecting a hydrant the red circle indicates which hydrant was selected.

A Hydrants details page populates and with proper permissions an Edit button will appear in the toolbar.

8. Select on Edit to update, add, delete information or move the selected Hydrant.

9. After selecting the Edit button a window will populate that allows you to edit any hydrant information.

When finished editing remember to select Save to update any changes.

10. While editing you are able to move a Hydrant's location by moving the red map marker.

11. Once a hydrant is selected on the map the More Actions dropdown allows you to Start a Service Check, Flow Test or Create a Work Order.
