Instructions
1. Click on Hydrants
2. Click on Hydrant Setup
3. Click on Notifications
4. First action under Notification Settings is to establish an email for the Hydrants Module.
You can utilize the default email provided by First Due or you may add an internal department email designated for your Hydrant Program.
5. Enable toggle to receive notifications of service changes. Add users that would like to be notified of service changes.
6. Enable toggle to be notified on any work orders creation. Add the users that would like to be notified of any work order creation.
7. Enable toggle to notify on work orders status changes. Add users that would like to be notified of any work order status changes.
8. Enable toggle to be notified on any work order resolutions and add the users that wish to receive this notification.
9. Enable toggle to be notified on any work orders that remain idle for specific time period.
Add users that wish to receive this notification and establish how many days of idle time must elapse on a work order before notifications are sent out.
10. Click on Preferences
11. Click on Preferences. This first section allows you to select between a black or white outline for your Hydrants.
12. Hydrant Color allows you to select a source to establish color for your hydrants.
Hydrant Base Color: Allow you to change color manually. Not based on Flow.
Calculated Flow Rate (gpm): Color automatically updated based on Calculated Flow Rate.
Flow Hydrant Rate (gpm): Color automatically updated based on actual Flow Rate.
13. Click on Flow & Service the first item to select makes the system require a reason when setting a Hydrant out of service.
14. Flow Test options include:
Setting a default percentage for Pressure Differential.
Ability to enable the use of the simplified Hazen Williams Formula
Ability to enable the use of Flow results to update Hydrants within the system
15. Default Values allow you to set defaults for your Outlet Size and Coefficient.
You can always override the default values.
16. Click on Field Selection.
The first area allows you to select which ID to utilize for your hydrants.
You also have the ability to select which Hydrant information populates when you select a hydrant.
Toggle on "Show all Hydrant columns in Pop-up" to see all documented information as show below.
17. Click on Create Hydrant Zone to view and create hydrant zones in your area.
18. Click on Hydrant Types: This area allows you to view existing Hydrant types as well as create new custom Hydrant types.
19. Name your new Hydrant type (required field)
20. Ability to add a custom icon for your new hydrant type.
21. Click on Background Color to select the background color your new Hydrant Type.
