Managing Your Profile

Managing Your Profile

Purpose

  1. To explain how to manage your user profile.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to your name in the upper right corner of the system page (header bar).

  2. The first tab Settings. Here you can manage the following:

    1. Email - IMPORTANT: This is also your login credential for First Due.

    2. Name - Your user identity throughout the system.

    3. Phone - IMPORTANT: We highly recommend entering your cell phone number here since this entry is where the system will send out SMS or push notifications.

    4. Signature - Provide your signature here so it can be used wherever your signature is required in system (e.g. incident reports, inspections). Select Add/Edit to enter or upload your signature.

    5. Firefighter Title - Your rank/title.

    6. Time Zone - Your local time zone.

    7. Profile Image - You can upload up to a 460 x 460 pixel file for your profile image.

    8. All Dispatches - IMPORTANT: This setting enables you to control your notifications for incidents via messaging and the mobile app. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND moving the slider to the "Off" position so that you only receive the notifications for desired incidents.

      1. Once in the off position you can select the following:
        1. Dispatch Units - Select the units you wish to receive ALL dispatched incidents for.
        2. Dispatch Incident Types - Select the incident types you wish to receive notifications for (NOTE: This selection in independent of units. You will receive notifications for ALL incident types selected regardless of unit).

    9. Send text messages (SMS) on new dispatch - Check this box if you wish to receive SMS text messages in addition to (or instead of) mobile app notifications.

    10. Select "Save". Nice job!

  3. Next up is Notifications. This is where you control how you receive Call Shift notifications and Messages from the First Due system. NOTE: This page does NOT control incident notifications (see Settings tab details above).

If you wish to receive notifications, move the slider to the "
On" position. For Call Shifts and Messages, check the box(es) for the method(s) you wish to receive notifications:

    1. Phone SMS - Notifications sent via SMS (short messaging service) text message to the number you entered in My Profile > Settings > Phone Number.

    2. Email - Notifications sent to your email you entered in My Profile > Settings > Email.

    3. Phone Call - You will receive an automated phone call from the system to the phone number you entered in My Profile > Settings > Phone Number.

    4. Push Notification - You'll receive a notification on your mobile device via our mobile app (iOS or Android).

    5. Select "Save Preferences". Nice work!

  4. Last, but not least, is the Change Password tab. This is where you can change your password.

    1. Enter your current (old) password.

    2. Enter your new password.  NOTE: Must be at least six characters.

    3. Confirm your new password.

    4. Select Change Password. You're all set!
