The purpose of this article is to inform users how to assign a kit in the First Due system.
Note: Kits can be assigned to a location such as an apparatus compartment or a station storage room or they can be assigned directly to an individual user.
Note: Kits can be assigned from two separate locations in the First Due system, the Kit Checks View screen or from within the Kit List.

To assign a kit from the Kit Checks View...
1. Click on Kit Checks in Assets.
2. Locate the kit that is to be assigned.
3. In the kit's overview screen, select whether to assign it to a user, compartment, or storage.
4. Select the appropriate location or user from the dropdown.
To assign a kit from the Kit List view...
1. Click on Kit List in Assets.
2. Locate the kit that is to be assigned.
3. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column.
4. Select either the location or user from the appropriate drop-down menu.
