Purpose Statement

This guide demonstrates how to configure the System Options for the Inspections Module. These settings control various inspection workflows, notification preferences, scheduling parameters, and permit handling processes to optimize your department's inspection operations and ensure compliance with your specific operational requirements.

The System Options page serves as the central configuration hub for inspection-related functionalities within the platform. These settings directly impact how inspections are processed, scheduled, reviewed, and managed across your organization. Proper configuration ensures seamless workflow integration between field personnel and administrative staff while maintaining compliance standards and operational efficiency.


Required Permissions

  • Administrator or System Configuration permissions are required to access and modify inspection system options
  • Users configuring the "Ready for Review" status must ensure that field personnel do not have "Complete Inspection" permission enabled for proper workflow operation

Step-by-Step Guide



1. Click on Inspections.


Click on Inspections.



2. Click on Inspection Setup.


Click on Inspection Setup.



3. Click on System Options.

4. Move boolean slider to turn on or off Fire Inspection Status of "Ready for Review."
  1. Along with this setting, the user’s role cannot have the "Complete Inspection" permission enabled to operate correctly.






5. Move boolean slider to turn on or off to show previous inspections when Start/Scheduled new inspections.

8. Move boolean slider to turn on or off when adding a new permit, take the user to the "Edit Permit" screen.

13. Select days of the week to exclude from the auto recurring Schedule.
  1. For example, if December 1st is the scheduled day and Saturday and Sunday is excluded, if the scheduled date falls on one of the weekend days, the inspection will get bumped to the next unexcluded day.

14. US Holidays can be set to be excluded in addition to days of the week.

15. Click on Save to save changes.
