Setting Permissions

IMPORTANT: Each First Due agency that an individual works for must ensure the "Allow User Account Switching" permission is enabled for that person's role in order for the use to hot swap between accounts.

TIP: If you only have a just a few personnel in your agency that also use First Due at another agency, simply create a new role (based on an existing role) and add the " Allow User Account Switching" permission. Then add just those personnel that need to hot swap accounts to the "new" role.  This will preserve the one-click logout for users that don't use First Due at another agency.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Roles.

  2. Select the role you wish to enable hot swapping.

  3. Select the permission "Allow User Switching Account".

  4. Select Save. Nice job!

Using the Hot Swap Feature (Web)

  1. Any user assigned to a role with the "Allow User Switching Account" can now add multiple log in credentials that will appear in a dialog box whenever they go to log out of First Due.

  1. Select the "Logout" button.

  2. A dialog box will appear prompting you to enter the credentials of your other First Due account(s). Go ahead and enter the login and password for one of your accounts.

  3. Select "Switch Account". The system will log you out of your current account and automatically log you in to the account you selected. You can add additional accounts on subsequent log out attempts.

  4. Henceforth, when you select the "Logout" button, the dialog box will appear, allowing you to hot swap into one of your other First Due accounts with just one click/tap.

  5. Of course, you always have the option to fully log out.
