Fire Investigation Setup - Custom Questions

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this Knowledge Base Article is to demonstrate how to add Custom Questions to the Fire Investigations Form.

Instructions

1. Navigate to Fire Investigations and then Investigation Setup.

2. Click on New Custom Question.

3. Enter a Field Label (aka Custom Question).

4. Select a Section for the Custom Question.


Select a Section for the Custom Question.



5. Select a Custom Question Type (Type Code).
  1. Boolean is a toggle (yes/no).
  2. Date Time will provide fields for the entry of date and time.
  3. List will allow the user to generate a list to select from.
    1. Single Select List - Pos = Position, Code is answer, Description as needed.
  4. Integer/Number will allow entry of numbers only (decimals are permitted).
  5. Text/String will allow the entry of text.

Select a Custom Question Type (Type Code).



6. Select Yes to make the Custom Question Required.
  1. NOTE: The Boolean Question Type cannot be made required.

7. Enter a Definition (not required).

8. Click on Save when done.
