Exclamation Point (!) on the Permits landing page

Exclamation Point (!) on the Permits landing page

Purpose Statement

The exclamation point indicator on the Permits Landing Page serves as a visual alert to notify users when underlying Occupancy Data and/or Contact Data has been updated since a permit was originally issued. This feature ensures permit accuracy by prompting users to review and incorporate recent changes into their permit records, maintaining data integrity and compliance with current property information.

Background Information

The exclamation point system provides automated change detection for permits, helping fire departments maintain accurate and up-to-date permit information. This feature is particularly valuable for tracking changes in occupancy classifications, contact information, or other critical property data that may affect permit validity or compliance requirements. The indicator appears when the system detects discrepancies between the current permit data and updated property records, ensuring no important changes are overlooked.
