Equipment List: Adding New Equipment

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this article is to inform users how to add new equipment in the First Due system.

Directions

1. Click on Assets.






2. Click on Equipment List.






3. Click on New Equipment.






4. Fill out all the necessary fields.




Note: Only the Equipment Name and Equipment ID are required.  
Warning:  The Equipment ID must be unique for each equipment item. 


- To utilize barcode scanning to create the Equipment ID or to capture the devices serial number, Click the scanner button to enable scanning mode on your device's camera.

Info:  Although the Serial Number can be captured via the scanning feature, equipment items cannot be searched for by scanning the serial number field. The barcode scanning search feature will locate the barcode that is associated with the Equipment ID. 


- Assign the equipment to either a user, compartment, storage or pouch by selecting the appropriate category and then selecting the location from the dropdown.

- Attach an Image for future reference.






- Additional fields and the ability to attach files associated with the equipment can be accessed by clicking Specifications.

5. When all information has been entered, click Create.
