Equipment: Importing Equipment Via a csv File

Purpose

  1. To provide instructions for importing multiple pieces of equipment using a .csv File.

Directions 

  1. Navigate to Assets > Equipment List.




  2. Select Import CSV.





  3. Select Download sample spreadsheet (import template also attached below).





  4. Begin entering data into the fields. Be sure to delete the example row in the template.

    IMPORTANT ITEM #1: Please carefully review the table in the next section for details about each field.
     
    IMPORTANT ITEM #2: The "User" field must be the user's email address used to log in to First Due.






  5. Return to Assets > Equipment List > Import CSV.




  6. Choose your file to upload.

  7. Select Import.




  8. Excellent. You've just batch imported equipment. Nice work!






ALERT #1: If you attempt to import any equipment that has erroneous data, the system will download a file named "NotImportedEquipments" explaining the errors detected during import (see column U). Any equipment with correct data will still import successfully.

            

ALERT #2: If you attempt to import a piece of equipment already in the system (based on Equipment ID), you will receive this message and a file named "DuplicatesChecklistitems" will automatically download to provide you a list of duplicate pieces of equipment you're attempting to import:
