Video
Directions
First Due understands that ePCR documentation often occurs away from apparatus and stations. This feature allows users to start or continue documenting an ePCR when internet connection is interrupted.
Information entered while offline will be saved locally and can be synced to First Due when connection is regained.
The Print, Complete, Monitor Import, Add patient, and Download CAD actions are not available offline.
To use the offline functionality, the user needs the "Create and Document EMS Care Report Without Internet Connection" permission.
The EMS incident list and any ePCR record needs to be opened at least once prior to losing internet connectivity to add new incident or edit the record.
1. Navigate to Incident Documentation > EMS Incident List
2. Start a new ePCR or open an existing incident while connected to internet.
3. If internet connection is lost, the status indicator will change to "offline". The user will still be able to document within the ePCR while working away from internet connection. Click on "Save Draft" to save the ePCR locally to the device.
4. Once internet connection is regained, the ePCR can be saved as a draft or completed. Either action, when performed online, will sync the ePCR to First Due and the record will be available from any device.
5. From the EMS incident list, ePCR sync status and Last Sync is visible.
Sync status: - Indicates the record is only available Online, that is, it cannot be accessed offline because it is not cached on the device yet.
- Indicates that the record is available offline in the device. In this case, if the connection is lost, you can access these records and continue working on them.
- Indicates that is available offline and contains data not synchronized with the server. The first time these records are accessed online and a save is made, the information entered while offline will be synchronized with the server.
Last sync: Indicates the date of the last time the offline data was synchronized with the server.
