EMS Setup - Enabling ePCR QA/QI Notifications

Step-by-Step Guide


1. Navigate to EMS Setup
  1. Go to the Incident Documentation module from the main navigation menu.
  2. Select EMS Setup from the available options.


Navigate to Incident Documentation and select EMS Setup.



2. Open the General Section
  1. In the EMS Setup interface, select the General tab or section.


Select on the General section.



3. Locate the Notifications Subsection
  1. Scroll within the General section until you reach the Notifications subsection.
  2. This area includes options related to QA/QI alerts.


From the General section scroll until you see the Notifications subsection.



4. Configure QA/QI Notification Delivery
  1. Use the dropdown menu under QA/QI Notifications to select how alerts should be delivered.
    1. Email – Sends QA/QI alerts to the user’s email address.
    2. Notification Center – Displays alerts in the First Due Notification Center.
    3. Notification Center and Email – Sends alerts to both locations for maximum visibility.






5. Save Your Changes
  1. Select Save to apply and confirm your notification settings.

  1. Select both Notification Center and Email for important QA/QI alerts to ensure visibility across devices and platforms.
  2. Regularly review the Notification Center to catch any updates missed via email.
  3. Do not rely on email alone if users may have spam filters or are frequently in the field without email access.

Q: Can I enable notifications for specific users only?
A: Notifications are delivered to the persons associated to the specific ePCR.  

Q: Where do I find the Notification Center?
A: The Notification Center is located in the top navigation bar (bell icon) within the First Due interface. It displays system alerts and reminders based on user role and permissions.
