Configuring Preventative Maintenance for Apparatus.

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this article is to guide you in setting up preventative maintenance to automatically generate work orders for apparatus.



Currently, Work Orders for Preventative Maintenance can only be setup for Apparatus.  The ability to generate Work Orders for Equipment is coming in the near future.


1. Click on Assets.

2. Click on Setup.


Click on Setup



3. Click on Preventative Maintenance.


Click on Preventative Maintenance



4. Click on Add Maintenance.


Click on Add Maintenance




You have the option to schedule a work order for certain time intervals or trigger a work order based on mileage/hours.






5. Select which Maintenance Type will generate the work order.


Select Odometer



6. Enter the appropriate data for the factor that was selected.


Enter the desired mileage to trigger the work order.


At this time, if your asset type is in the middle of the cycle, you will need to wait until the cycle has reached that point to schedule/trigger the work order to set it up.
i.e., if you are setting up a trigger for every 5,000 miles and the maintenance was last performed at 2,500 miles, then wait to set up the PM when that apparatus reaches 7,500 miles.

7. Select the work order to be generated.

8. Select the apparatus this will be applied to.






9. Click on Save.


Click on Save



10. The work order will automatically generate when the appropriate data is updated in apparatus record.
