Inventory Management - Fulfilling Inventory Requests

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to fulfill Inventory Requests in the Assets module.

Instruction


1. Select Inventory Management from within the Assets module.






2. Click on REQUESTS

3. Select the play button for the request that needs to be fulfilled.






4. To fulfill each item in a request individually, open the dropdown in the Restock Location field of the card for said item and select the sublocation (Compartment, Storage or Pouch) the items will be pulled from.

After selecting the location, you will need to click outside of the dropdown to close it for the next step.


5. The number of requested items will default to the number that is to be fulfilled.

When working with items that have multiple expiration dates users may pull quantities from different lots.

6. All items can be filled from the same location by selecting said location from the dropdown in the Global Restock Location field and selecting Apply to All

7. If there aren't enough items to cover the requested amount, the quantity will need to be adjusted to reflect what is being issued

8. Click on Fulfill

9. When fulfilling requests with less than the requested quantity, after selecting fulfill users will need to confirm they wish to continue.






10. The status for the request will now show as fulfilled.

Warning
Items will NOT be transferred until the request has been closed.


11. To close fulfilled requests, select the edit pencil of the request that needs to be closed.

12. While the request is open for edit, a Summary or Comments may also be added.

13. In the status field, select Closed, then select Save

It is possible that your agency may have re-named "Closed" to reflect a different name.

14. It is suggested to close requests that have not been fulfilled completely since the items will NOT be transferred until the request has been closed. At this time users will need to initiate a new request for the additional item(s) that weren't filled.

Should a request remain open while waiting for additional items, the fulfillment can be continued by selecting the play button then, repeating steps 4 -6
