✨ New Features
🛠️ Feature Enhancements
- What: Standardized terminology and structure for menu sections across all platforms (iOS, Android & Web)
- Why: Ensures a familiar experience for users switching platforms; reduces training effort and support calls
- How: Updates include plural section names, separators between sections, pinnable settings, and prioritized display of frequently used items. These appear automatically with the updated UI
- Use Case: A field user accessing platform settings quickly during incident response now sees identical menu behavior whether using Android, iOS, or Web—minimizing errors from interface confusion
- What: Redesigned Android Incident panel with comprehensive details and navigation tools
- Why: Promotes efficient response routing and ensures access to vital station information in the field
- How: UI now includes station name, address, coordinates, phone, and “Calculate Route” + “Quick Route” buttons; layout is responsive to handle long names and missing data gracefully
- Use Case: When dispatching to a new location, responders can access full station data and immediate routing options directly from the map without switching apps
Context-Aware Status Tag Management
- What: Intelligent control of status tag visibility based on agency configuration
- Why: Removes clutter for non-statusing departments while preserving functionality for those using response status tracking
- How: System checks configuration flags and selectively displays status tags relevant to each department
- Use Case: A department not using status tags will no longer see unused status info during incident logging, simplifying the interface for responders
- What: Unified functionality for accessing turn-by-turn navigation panel
- Why: Prevents panel from auto-closing during scrolling, improving usability during movement
- How: Added tap-to-toggle access; panel stays visible unless manually closed
- Use Case: A driver following GPS directions can scroll through incident details without losing access to turn-by-turn instructions
- What: Improved zoom level behavior during route navigation
- Why: Enhances visibility and orientation when switching views
- How: System now auto-adjusts zoom based on whether user is viewing destination or current location
- Use Case: A responder reviewing route progress sees optimal detail when toggling between endpoints and current position—critical during complex routing or detours
